We are getting down to the wire, the bid period for subcontractors to work on the Liberty Bank Building project officially opens on April 19th. Walsh Construction will be holding one final informational meeting where they will walk interested subcontractors through the steps.
The community partners leading the project (Africatown, Black Community Impact Alliance, Capitol Hill Housing and Centerstone) have committed to maximizing the participation of women and minority owned businesses and particular African American owned contractors.
Project Description
The Liberty Bank Building is a planned six story mixed use project with five stories of residential space (115-Residential Units) above a one-story podium. The building will provide affordable housing (a mix of two-bedroom, one-bedroom, and studio units), residential lobby and interior amenity spaces, an outdoor landscaped courtyard and roof terrace, onsite building manager office, street level retail space and parking.
WMBE Outreach Goals
Capitol Hill Housing and their Community Partners have a minimum WMBE Subcontracting goal of 21% of the $12,000,000 worth of subcontracting work on this project.
